Impacting Lives by Teaching Digital Skills

Powercoders empowers refugees and migrants by teaching them in-demand digital skills and connecting them to careers in Switzerland’s IT industry.

Our program combines a full-time 12-week coding bootcamp with a company internship. A real shot at a new future.

HOW IT WORKS

We find potential.

Through a selective admission process, we identify highly motivated individuals with talent and drive.

We teach real skills.

Our bootcamp mixes remote and in person learning in Bern, Zurich and Lausanne.

We open doors.

After training, graduates are matched with paid internships and receive career coaching.

We build a community.

Our work is made possible by volunteer coaches and strong partners like Swisscom, UBS, IBM and AWS.

Why it matters

Switzerland will soon be short of almost 40,000 ICT specialists. At the same time, there is an increasing number of well-qualified, highly motivated people from refugee and migrant backgrounds who are struggling to gain a foothold in the labor market.

There’s one solution for two problems:
Empowering refugees & migrants for an IT career.
