A Swisscom Success Story

Kingsley Mgbachi, originally from Nigeria, had to flee to Switzerland in 2022 to escape the war in Ukraine. In the spring of 2023, he attended the Powercoders bootcamp and met Angela Denzler, a release train engineer at Swisscom, at the Career Day in Zurich.

From that moment on, the Swisscom success story began: Angela hired Kingsley as an intern, and after a year of working together, learning from the team colleagues at Swisscom and growing into the role, Kingsley started as a full-time DevOps Engineer at the beginning of July and continues his career journey.

Why did Angela choose to hire an intern from Powercoders? When asked this question recently, Angela mentioned that she loves the diversity that Powercoders interns bring to their teams.
