The Powercoders Career Boost program is a part-time pilot program focussing on social and business skills needed to find an IT job in Switzerland. In this program participants have the chance to optimize their job application materials, prepare for job interviews, gain insight into IT networking in Switzerland and gain access to digital courses.

- Independently find Job or position in IT field
All about Career Boost
- You live and have the right to work in Switzerland
- You are facing barriers entering the IT job market (and can’t access similar programs)
- You have a higher Education Degree, BA University Degree or higher
- At least several years of work experience in the IT field
- At least B1/B2 level English and/or German language skills
- You are 21+ years old
Our program is for candidates of diverse backgrounds who are facing barriers entering the IT job market. The majority of our seats are reserved for people with refugee status.
We encourage women to apply for our program. The program is fully funded and free of charge for the selected participants.
- 4 weeks of interactive online workshops
- Social & business skills curriculum

- Volunteer to review your job applications
- Additional support for laptop, food, and transportation where needed
- You have been actively engaged in job applications (regularly/recently)
- You understand, speak and write English well
- You have work experience in IT
- You have solid IT skills in one field
- You are self-reflected and open-minded
- You are ready to give 100%
It’s an advantage (but not required) if additionally:
You speak the local language (German / French)
100 hours: Participants are asked to commit to paying forward (volunteering) 100 hours of their time for people and organizations who benefit from their support.
- The program costs 2,000 CHF per participant. As this is a pilot program, we will not charge a fee but will approach your social assistance to inform them accordingly.
- Laptops are borrowed to participants, for the duration of the program, free of charge when needed.
- Travel expenses: This program is designed to be fully remote. Should any travel expenses incur during this program, please approach your social assistant.
